SuperAgent Value Gauge

Real Health Plan Cost

Traditionally it has been very difficult for consumers to compare health insurance plans in any meaningful way. The only fixed cost of health insurance is the plan premium, and beyond that there is too much information contained in health plan brochures to mentally juggle.

In order to translate an overwhelming amount of information into a meaningful answer, SuperAgent analyzed all of the data and simplified the presentation. The result is the Value Gauge ™.

Gauging Health Plan Value

Alongside every health plan SuperAgent displays a colored Value Gauge™ which is disarmingly simple to read, but contains a staggering amount of data to assist shoppers in picking a great health plan.

Each health plan in a carrier’s catalog is statistically modeled by SuperAgent based on hundreds of possible scenarios. These health scenarios quantify what the costs are if you get sick or remain healthy. The tests starts with zero claims and then incrementally add costs until the simulation reaches the worst possible scenario: maximum out of pocket.

Unique Health Profile

Using the data from these simulations, SuperAgent is able to construct a detailed profile about each health plan. When you create an account on SuperAgent, the software compares your specific profile to those of the plans to find what is the best fit. The result which guides a reasonable selection is the SuperAgent Value Gauge ™.

If you have a history of health problems, or your expect high claims (from a pregnancy, for instance), then SuperAgent will recommend a plan which performs ideally in high claims scenarios. Most people have claims under $1,000 and for those people, SuperAgent recommends a plan that save them money, but also insures them effectively against the unexpected.
